You should spend about 2 minutes twice a day brushing your teeth .
Here are some tips on how to brush properly:
1. Hold your brush at a 45-degree angle against your gum line.
Gently brush two teeth at a time
2. Use the same method to brush all outside, inside and top
surfaces of your teeth.
3. Brushing too hard can cause receding gums, wearing of tooth
enamel and tooth sensitivity.
4. To clean the front teeth and gums, hold the brush almost vertical.
Brush vertically the outer and inner surfaces.
5. Gently brush your tongue to keep it clean.
6. Play a favourite song while brushing your teeth to get used to brushing for a full 2 to 3 minutes.
1. Remove cotton pack after two hours and do not replace it.
2. Do not gargle for the first 24 hours, you may rinse gently.
3. Have a cold liquid diet for the first 24 hours
4 After 24 hours rinse with warm salt water 3 to 4 times daily
for the next 3 days - it acts as an antiseptic and keeps the
wound clean.
1. Brush your teeth morning and night.
2. Finger massage your gums and floss your teeth daily .
3. Rinse your mouth after every meal.
4. Wash your dentures with soap and water twice daily.
5. Do not wear your dentures at night -your gums need to relax.
